Parks & Recreational Projects
Popps Ferry Causeway Park, Biloxi, MS
The project consisted of the construction of several metal and wood structures, including an open-air interpretive center, a bait shop/kayak launch/concession facility, pavilions, and multiple covered fishing piers. Additional amenities included nature trails, waterfront boardwalks, waterside railed walkways, marsh overwalks, benches, grills, picnic tables, and trash receptacles. The scope of work also included boat ramps, roadway rehabilitation, trailer parking, lighting, shoreline stabilization, utilities, signage, and landscaping.
Town Commons Development, Gautier, MS
The scope of work for this project includes the design of a three-phase concept and the subsequent construction of the City of Gautier’s Town Commons. Engineering duties encompass the design of roadways, sidewalks, parking lots, drainage, and water and sewer utilities. Additionally, Seymour Engineering was responsible for designing various amenities, including an amphitheater, concession stands, pickleball courts, basketball courts, a football field, a pavilion, a playground, fire pits, and restrooms.
Tchoutacabouffa Paddling Trail and Nature Park, D’Iberville, MS
Seymour Engineering provided engineering design, surveying, and construction management services for the design and construction of a new ADA-accessible floating kayak dock, the modification and construction of a new pier, a public pavilion, a fish cleaning station, a new bulkhead, drainage improvements, parking area enhancements, and signage.
